Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey to help build schools in underprivileged places in Laos. I am incredibly happy to say that we have achieved our goal for my 10th birthday end of 2017 (So sorry for the much delayed post!!!), and even gone a bit further!
Thank you so much to everyone who donated to help me achieve this important landmark. The page to donate for my 10th birthday has since been taken off my website. If you would still wish to donate to Pencils of Promise, you can donate to my 'A musical promise' fundraising page on my website, to further help to support education in underprivileged countries. Thank you once again!

This year was one sporty year!
This year I was in P5, as well as making the badminton team, attended a golf competition overseas, and swam in many competitions as well as winning many medals! In Badminton, I joined and attended our school's badminton team. I had lot's of fun training and playing for the team, and playing in matches for the school. This year, our badminton team actually won the silver for coming in second place in our badminton league. Badminton was definitely one of the highlights in sports for me this year. Yet another sport that I participated in this year was golf. This term, I continued to attend my weekly golf lessons, as well as participating in a major international school golf competition in Batam. In this competition I played pretty well, and hit a lot of good shots. It has been a extremely memorable year of golf for me, and I hope that I will play more golf for many years to come. Finally, the most memorable and important sport to me this year was swimming. This term/year I participated in many big competitions with my school swim team, and the highlight was probably going to Malaysia and swimming a swim competition there. In that competition, I was very successful, winning one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. That was definitely one of my best swim competitions ever. I also participated in many other smaller meets too. It has been one of my best terms of swimming ever! This year has definitely been one sporty year! This was my first trip overseas by myself!
This was my first time going overseas by myself without my parents! This trip lasted for 7 days, and brought us to the historic Chinese city of Xian. During the trip we stayed in the Ramadan bell tower hotel, and went to various historic and interesting destinations around Xian. During the trip I had to organize, look after, and take care of myself as I did not have my parents to look after me. It was a real challenge! On the first 2 days we went to a local school, where we saw what students did, and we tried out some pottery and calligraphy, and read Chinese poems. we also watched a traditional Chinese play, and went to sightsee at the ancient city wall. But the main highlight of the trip was seeing the famous terracotta warriors! This was the historic site that housed over 800 terracotta warriors as a means to protect the emperor in the afterlife. After that we saw the wild goose pagoda, another historic site before returning to the hotel after a long day out. This was one of the best trips I have ever had and it is definitely one I won't forget! This was my first big international swim competition! It was very exciting for me to see some of the international schools in south east asia come together for such an event! It was a pretty big competition with lots of great swimmers and was very fun to take part in. I took part in 7 different events which were 50m freestyle, breastroke, backstroke and butterfly as well as 100m freestyle, breastroke and backstroke. The competition was held over a course of 3 days, with the amount of swimmers and events being this high the event just simply couldn't be held over just one day. The event was very exciting for me because it not being just my first international swim meet it also had a amazing amount of swimmers and schools taking part in this event, which made it a really interesting, fun and enjoyable place to be in. This was deffinitley one of the best and most exciting swim meets and it is one that I'm sure I won't soon forget! Today was my early birthday party! As you know, my real birthday is on the 28th of December, but this year I decided to have an earlier birthday party to celebrate the progress we are making on my misson to send 215 children in Laos to school. There were 22 of us at the party, with all the boys in my class and also from my previous grades, coming over to help make this an amazing birthday party and experience. I also had an amazing cake made my mum's friend, Aunty May which incorporated a few of my favourite hobbies like golf, swimming and science experiements! For my birthday party I chose LaserOps, an indoor laser tag experience,to have all my fun and games in. We had tons of fun, and once again thank you ever so much to everyone who has donated, as you have made this one of the best birthdays ever! These are my favourite shortcut keys-I like using shortcut keys. Here are a few of my favourites.
