The first fundraiser of the year - The Metasprint aquathlon
On February 9th, 2020, I will attempt my first aquathlon of the year, and my second so far. It will also be my first ( and hopefully not last) fundraiser of this coming year.
While I know I am not competitive enough in aqualthlons to earn a medal, I will enjoy participating and racing with friends and other competitors to see which of us will achieve the best placing.
As many of my friends and family know, I really enjoy competitive swimming, and while this will be the first time I'm swimming in the open ocean, I decided to take this chance to organise a small fundraiser.
My younger brother, Ryan is also joining me in this Aquathlon and this is the first time he is participating in an event which features both swimming and running. I am proud of him for joining me in both the Aquathlon and also for the fundraiser.
This small fundraiser is for an organisation called Pencils of Promise (POP). POP, as many reading this page will know, is a non-profit organisation who helps to provide quality education to many children in developing countries ( Laos, Guatemala etc.) which they otherwise would not receive. I am also setting a smaller goal for this fundraiser than my previous ones, at only $2000.
Thank you for your time and support. I will update this page with photos post the event!
