My school trip to XiAN

This was my first trip overseas by myself!

This was my first time going overseas by myself without my parents! This trip lasted for 7 days, and brought us to the historic Chinese city of Xian. During the trip we stayed in the Ramadan bell tower hotel, and went to various historic and interesting destinations around Xian. During the trip I had to organize, look after, and take care of myself as I did not have my parents to look after me. It was a real challenge!

On the first 2 days we went to a local school, where we saw what students did, and we tried out some pottery and calligraphy, and read Chinese poems. we also watched a traditional Chinese play, and went to sightsee at the ancient city wall. But the main highlight of the trip was seeing the famous terracotta warriors! This was the historic site that housed over 800 terracotta warriors as a means to protect the emperor in the afterlife. After that we saw the wild goose pagoda, another historic site before returning to the hotel after a long day out.

This was one of the best trips I have ever had and it is definitely one I won't forget!
